New member Username: SsoonrDallas, Texas Post Number: 1 Registered: Mar-05 | This will be my first attempt for aftermarket car audio so any suggestions would be appreciated. I am also interested in SQ and not as concerned will SPL for my 2001 Camaro SS. HU: Alpine 9855 (not yet released) Fronts: Dynaudios 240 MK II http://www.dynaudio.de/eng/mobile/2way/240mk2.htm Sail Panels: (optional for added midbass and the dreded rearfill) Dynaudio MW 170 8" (the one off their 3-way) http://www.dynaudio.de/eng/mobile/3way/360.htm Sub in driverside hideaway box: jl 10w6 Sub amp: JL 1000/1 As far as the amp for the front channels, I would like to run 150 RMS to each channel and could do 2 x JL 300/2 but I would like to do it off of one if ya'll had any suggestions. I am also not set on the jl sub, I want a sub that is very accurate, but can be loud when it needs to be. Thanks for any input. |

New member Username: SsoonrDallas, Texas Post Number: 2 Registered: Mar-05 | I am having trouble finding any information on the RE X's. The enclosure for the sub is somewhere around 1 cubic foot, so i dont have a lot of room to work with. Are the RE X's more spl or sq oriented? The reason for the large sub amp is to leave me with the option of another sub if I want more spl later down the road. |

New member Username: SsoonrDallas, Texas Post Number: 3 Registered: Mar-05 | but i dont want to take up my t-top storage area... so 10's will work better for my application. I want a single 10" that will sound excellent in the restricted area that i'm putting it in, and the option of adding a second 10 if more spl is desired. The enclosure will be fiberglass, but similar to this one. http://jlaudio.com/stealthbox/camaro.html |
Silver Member Username: Suleman36Post Number: 329 Registered: Feb-05 | Get a JL 500/1 amp and get a 10W7 and go from there..I am selling 2 500/1's right now that are brand new on ebay right here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=79827%26item%3D5761780104 %26 and that will sound perfect with that amp and sub. ITs a great sq/spl sub. let me know what you think |
