New member Username: Kill_philPost Number: 1 Registered: Mar-05 | hey all, I was reading up on some of the posts in this forum, and it seems like a good place to ask for some help! anyway, I am looking at buying a mtx thunder 8000 10" sub, in a .7 cu\ft sealed enclosure. the guy i want to buy it from had an infinity sub in the box, and I think it was probably the proper size for THAT sub, but the sub blew and the store he bought it from gave him the mtx under warranty. so, my question is, do i buy this sub + box and leave it the way it is, or is this box no good! also, what size box should i put it in, and sealed, or ported, or ? Im also looking for an amp right now, and I came across this one for cheap MA Audio M1889i Overload, Short and Thermal Protection Circuit Frequency Response: 20 Hz - 20 kHz Full Mosfet Circuitry Selectable Bass Boost @ 50Hz 50dB Channel Separation 90dB Signal Noise Ratio 22K Ohm Input Impedance 200mV-2V Input Sensitivity THD <0.05% Selectable Bass Boost (0db, 6dB, 12dB) 50Hz - 250Hz Low Pass Filter 1 x 400W Rms @ 4 Ohm Mono 1 x 800W Max @ 2 Ohm Mono Fuse Rating: 25A x 2 Dimensions: 13" L x 9.5" W x 2" H http://www.maaudio.com/productcatalog.cfm?class=272 any idea if its any good, never heard of ma audio before! hehe. some info on the sub itself Model: T8104 Description: 10" Subwoofer Imped.: 4 Ohm Frequency Response: 24Hz-200Hz Power Handling (RMS/Total): 400/1000 Sensitivity: 83.4dB Voice Coil: 2 1/2" Magnet Weight: 102oz.
