i have noticed that alot of people on here are only getting one 15" x.xx or brahma or avalanche or eclipse ti. i was just wondering how much better 2 avalanches (only sub i can afford 2 of but still a little more than i would like to spend) would be then one of any of the other and if its worth the money??
the 15 in avalanche exibits 27mm of one way excursion. the brahma 15 does 29 and the XX.X does 32. So a pair of avalanches would be rather loud, and sound good(as far as i have heard acendant makes some pretty good sounding drivers)
sorry to keep asking but i plan on buying whatever i decide on this week and i have never heard any of these subs and i wanna make sure i get the most for my money. But one last question i know you kind of already answered it but i can afford 2 avalanches but its a little more than i would like to spend so would it be a big difference and worth the money to get 2 instead of 1???
usually around 900...but you can find them at certain places for 7 or 8 hundred....usually some interenet companies..if you email them alot...they will knock down the price...sometimes...my friend was getting a w7 and got a hundered bucks off cause he asked if they would take it off if he ordered the amp and wireing ther too
how much are you looking to spend? the aveys are 300 for the 15s the brahms and X.xx are a lot more, i think that the 18 aves are like 359 or something, which is a great price for a high quality 18. see the problem with a spending limit isnt the subs its the amps. amp to run these are exspensive
i already have a older precision power pcx 1500 that i had powering my 15" L5's so i just wanted to uprade my subs i don't really care about SQ i just want hella loud subs that i can feel in my chest if you get what i mean. that will work w/ the amp i already got
If your going for the loudest you can get, look into the dd's. They've set a lot of spl records. Can't think of many single drivers that would get louder than a DD 9917.
the x.xx will take it, i cant remember the rms on the dd but im sure it will handle it then some. well maybe, is this going to be a daily driver setup? i would go with the x.xx18 if you could.
i dont know much about 18" subs but it will still hit hard and sound decent when im listen to music right(that might sound really dumb but i don't know anything about 18" or if their any dif than 15")
hey Robbie if you want knock your damn hair off your head bass that will still punch you in the chest look into the Avalanche 18. It will give you the same output as 2-avalanche 15's. god knows why you would need that but it will do it.
nope I was tlaking to a guy who was pushing 1400 to it with no problems at all. The only thing is it requires a large enclosure. Talk to chad he will help you out. Ask him about the Snail Shell enclosures he is going to be building soon. 1-avalanche 15 in a snail shell would be insane in the membrane!
he told me $250-$300 which is about $100 cheaper then powerd 4 sound and he said it will come with a Black satin finish looking like a million bucks. I cant wait to get one.
