Hey guys, i have my ppi pcx 2200 amplifier running 2 JL 12w6v'2s right now. The pcx 2200 does 200x2 rms into 4 ohms or 400x2 rms into 2 ohms and 800 rms bridged into 4 ohms. My 12w6v2's take 400 rms each and are 4 ohms duel voice coils. Is this a good match???
Yes it is a good match if you run the amp bridged. Turn your subs into 2ohms by connecting each voice coil in parallel (pos to pos and neg to neg). This will make each sub 2ohms, now connect them in series for 4ohms total. Your amp will supply 800w rms, this will be divided equally by the 2 subs (each getting 400w rms).
