1. On a farad cap if it's let's say a "1" farad cap, as to say a "2". What does this mean?
An example is running a 1200 watt rms amp feeding 600 rms to each of "2" 12" subs. Would a "1" farad cap be okay?
2. When talking ohms, let's say you have everthing wired at 2 ohms mono, or 1 ohm mono. If your amp can and was wired at 2 ohm "stereo" would that affect the SPL and give it better SQ ? Please explain what it means to wire mono VS stereo
well 2 ohms stereo is the same load as 4 ohms mono. If your amp puts out 200x2 @ 2ohms stereo it will put out 400x1 @ 4ohms mono. Taylor is right the rule of thumb for cap's is 1Fared per 1000 watts.

okay.. So when wiring in 1200 rms stereo class A/B amp VS the same watts in a class D mono amo would not effect the SQ or SPL? It just effects the ohm load..
And as to my first question...
If an amp is running 1200 rms X 1 @ 1 ohm stable.. How would you find the max peak watts in figuring in the amount of caps needed? Like if 1 cap is good for 1000 watts peak and your running at 1200 watts rms is it safe to say the peak is more than 1000? Would 1 cap be a waste?
Class A/B amps are cleaner sounding than class D, although the difference isn't as obvious in low frequencies, thus why they use class D for subs, and not speakers/components. The difference won't be like night and day, but SQ wise, there will be some difference.
is there an average watts peak or rms you should go by if your installing for the first time, and do not want to upgrade alternator after the fact.. is there a magic number you should look for on your amps, and is it rms or peak?
