what the title says...is the MTX Thunder 801D to much power for one Adire Shiva?

no. the shiva can only be wired down to 4 ohms and i believe the 801 is rated at 2 ohms so take half of that, 400 and then be easy on the gain, and you have a nice setup with someheadroom power
