I have used the entire space for the blank dvd for mp3's then played it on the IVA-D300. Problem im having it only picks up 20 folders with full albums. so in others word 20 cds of mp3s. It wont see the rest of the folders thats on the dvd instead of seeing 40 folders it sees 20. I have burned my dvd with Nero and roxio and i keep getting this problem. Can the IVA-D300 only read 20 folders at a time or is there some kinda firmware updated for it to read all? |

Called Alpine up and they said that the Unit might need a frimware updated and ask a retail Apline dealer to call their rep. up and they would install the software update.Just didnt have the time to go to a electronic store to do this and wait until they think about calling me. Right now I just found this program called http://www.audio-dvd-creator.com/ It works great I love it. Every MP3 shows up on your dvd player Bad thing about it takes up to 8hours to make your MP3's to DVD audio files |

I recently purchased the IVA-D310 in Canada, and am facing the same problem as I have brought it back to Australia. joshuadaughter Unregistered guest | i purchased an alpine iva d310 so my daughter could watch movies on our long journeys only to find it doesn't play while in motion. I understand the safety reasons for this but can it be bypassed? the installer told me it had to do with the parking brake but couldn't legally tell me what to do. Any suggestions? The rides are getting longer and longer these days. |

They normally wire the earth from your d310 to your handbrake wiring so that you can only use the full features such as dvd playback or setting sat nav destinations when the handbrake is up and obviously the car is in a stationary position. All you have to do is take that earth wire they connected to your handbrake and connect it to anywhere on the car body(bare metal) and it should work when your driving. I've just bought the same unit, gonna fit it today |

New member Username: Reckless187Post Number: 4 Registered: Sep-05 | Sorry guys made a mistake. Just had a look at the manual for the d310r. Its not an earth cable thats hooked up to the handbrake or parking brake wiring its a yellow power wire which is wired to the live on your parking brake which turns on the parking brake indicator on you instrument clocks when you engage the brake. All you gotta do is wire the cable marked parking brake(from the d310, yellow in colour) to the ignition live or permanent live wire and it should work. |

Unregistered guest | I am having problems watching DVDs that I have recorded on my computer so I don't have to keep originals in the car. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this. It looks like it is going to start and then it says ERROR everytime. All the DVDs that I have made are region free, so this should not be the problem. Please help. |

See our post if you have a D300 or D900 it is a IC change, though the problem is that alpine epoxyed the IC in so they can NEVER BE CHANGED PLEASE note that if the units are american models that is they do not have a e , j, eu or r etc after the last digit then changing the region will work but....... they are only NTSC format where the other models are NTSC and PAL |
