Opinions on Pryamid Hyper Pro Series 1000 watt 12's

I just bought two Pyramid Hyper Pro Series 12's. There RMS power is 500watts There Max Power is 1000watts Single Voice Coil 4 OHMS
I plan on pushing these with a 1200 watt amp. Put them in a Q-LOGIC non-ported box If i need too, i can port the box. Can anyone tell me if i wasted my money and will they sound good with what equipment i've got?
