I just purchased a 2001 bmw 330ci and want to upgrade the system from the trash Harmon Kardon. Can anyone tell me the sizes of the speakers up front and in back? there are 2 speakers in each door up front, one is a tweet and the other may be a 6.5. Then in back there is a tweet on each side and two speakers in the rear deck. From BMW dealerships to local installers I've heard about five different sizes!!
Beyond that, anyone out there ever done any BMW audio upgrades? What component set do you recommend....Infinity, MB Quart, Alpine, Boston, Focal.....
Hey Scott, from what I've seen, 330ci comes with 10 speaker system. I am not sure if your car did. Best way is to measure the ones on your door. As for brands, Infinity kappa perfect is a great components. So is MB Quart and Boston. If you have the cash, then get Focal.
