No sound when cd is playing

i got a new panasonic for a gift and i installed it all correctly. the radio works fine and i can hear it. but when i put in a cd i can't hear anything. does anybody know why?

I have a Similar Problem with the Panasonic CQ-C5400W (I believe the US model number is CQ-C5410U).

I've returned the Head Unit to Panasonic for them to find out what's wrong with it. I for one could not figure out what was wrong with it.

But I already went ahead and replaced the Head Unit with a Pioneer DEH-P1Y (US Model Number DEH-P80MP).

Will let you know what I find when Panasonic gets back to me...
