ok got 2 speakers in parallel 4 ohms and 600 RMS for the both of them so like 300 per sub. I got 400 or more like 340watts goin to both of them, got the bass boost on and the gain alittle less then half. when i turn it up and bass is hittin hard it cuts out, or more plainly temporarily loses power for the bass note. and returns when their is no bass note. This does not happen when the volume is slightly lower. What exactly is happening? Are the spaekers drawing to much power for the amp to handle? something to do wit the OHMS?

ur car cannot provide the necessary current to the amp, so the amp is "protecting" itself and going into protection mode. get a stronger alternator and battery...u might want to also check your ground, that may be loose..good luck
Sounds like BaByBrOcK is on the money. Two 4ohms parallel will draw 2ohms from the amp and make it work harder. Is the amp 2ohms stable What amp do you have and what gauge wire to you have for the hot and ground wire.
