hey guys, i got my stuff. sub(15" x.x.x.), amp(1200d orion), deck(clarion DXZ945MP, a 200 amp ho alt, and im building my box. But I need help for wiring and stuff.
glasswolf told me i needed wires--
1/0 ga for alternator to battery, battery to ground, and motor to chassis
2 ga from battary to amp,4 ga from distribution block to amp (short)
4 ga amp to ground
12g for amp to sub.

could someone tell me exactly what distribution block to get, and a reasonable price site to get the wires? i looked at home depot for the wires, they didnt have any! There arnt too many car audio shops around here.

do not forget rca cables and remote turn on wire. pick a distribution block based on how many amps and stuff that you need to hook up and the wire sizes needed. i also run my cap to the dist. block.

turn on wire is small, 16 ga. it runs from the back of the hu to the amp to turn amps on/off with hu. 4 or 2 ga. should be fine for alt to battery because it is a short distance. 0 ga and 1/0 ga are the same. the 1 in 1/0 means one zero which is one ot (or however you spell it) and 4/0 is four ot.

thats sounds about right. it doesn't make sense that your power wire is 0 ga and the fuse and dist block is not, but if it comes in one package then it should all match up. i wouldn't recommend using the self-tapping screws though. you should use bolts, washers and nuts. be sure to scrape all of the paint off of the grounding points. you will also need to drill a hole through your firewall. remember to keep your ground wires as short as possible. also the dist block has 8 ga outputs? i would recommend using 2 ga or better to go to the 1200 watt amp. if the wire from the dist. block to the amp is short then you could use 4 ga. looks like you have all that you need. good luck.
