That's the number those cheap companies like to use to multiply the power numbers. So your 500W x 2 could range anywhere from 50W - 100W rms. One other thing, take a look at their fuse size. It's amps x volts = power. You can't get 1000W from a 15A fuse. |

WE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR MISLEADING INFORMATION." hahahahaha manual not listed on their site even. it's there but the link is broken. I saw an epinions comment that the amp is really 160wRMS. that'd be 80w x 2. |

Bronze Member Username: Themax96seUSA Post Number: 38 Registered: Jan-05 | Yeah I seen the same comment on epionions before I put opened this thread. That is dumb as hell, how can they have a product for sale, but the specs is subject to change. Man that is horrible. I just wanted to know if there was some other method to use if I couldnt find it online or anywhere else when I ecounter people with these crappy amps so I can tell them what it really is. I guess I can check amp fuses as a reference. I cant believe they sell this crap! By the way, I hooked it up to one 10" Type R 2ohm, and it sounded hoirrble. |
Bronze Member Username: Themax96seUSA Post Number: 39 Registered: Jan-05 | With all the dealings I have with these crappy amps, I am going to make a list of crap to crappiest selection... so if people are buying this very low end stuff, they could at least choose the least of the junk. Pyramid is definitly in the list. Suprisingly so far, so American Legacy amps was ok... I'll post my list for reference when I have enough experience dealing with all this low end crap. |
