I have a question that has been festering for days. If you have a HU with one amp pre-out, how would you set the gains if you used an RCA splitter to connect a second amp? If you had a 3v pre-out and you had the gain set at half, would you set two amps at a quarter, or could you set them both at half still? Please help.
voltage stays the same. current is split so signal strength won't be as strong.
ideally you don't use Y splitters anyway though. You'd use an electronic crossoverwhich incorporates a line driver to keep the signal strength where it should be when you have one pair of pre-outs and want to run to four or six amp channels. .
Yep used to live on king st. Just west of the old git and go.
Streets huh? I have delt with them a little, mainly for wires, and stuff. I normally deal with Car Toys, I have been friends with all of them so long they take really good care of me. Thats basically were I got all of the stuff I installed for myself and friends over the years.
Its kinda funny. I got offered a job by every car stereo install place in Tulsa. Then Jeff finally offers me a job there, and its to late. I just signed up to join the Air Force. Doh!!!
