Bronze Member Username: Scab12886Post Number: 35 Registered: Oct-04 | i have a 99 jeep grand cherokee and i was wondering if anyone knew what size alternator is in my car. i was thinking sometime in the future i would have probably a 300/2 amp and a 1000/1 sub amp. is my alt. big enough for this? or would i need a new one? or could a cap. solve any problems i may run in to? thanks! |

If it's a Laredo with the 4L i6, you have a 90A denso alternator. If this is a fully loaded Limited, with a 4.7: V8 it'd be bigger. in any event for over 1300 watts of power you're going to want a bigger alternator. www.mralternator.com has them for jeeps. |
