I have a rockford 250x2 amplifier, and on the back it has a slot for a high level input I have the wire for it but what is it??? and how would I hook it up?? thankss.....

that is used for connecting an amplifier to an OEM stock stereo system that has no RCA pre-outs.
It's a much better idea to use the RCA inputs, given the choice.
this is covered in the manual
