I had read a couple of messages on down and added my two cents worth and asked for some input on sony head units. getting them to recognize rca inputs. (those designed for mdcd but do not have an aux function to receive signal from dvd laptop mp3 or a tv tune).I never got any help but anyway, for any body interested you can buy a XA300 aux selector but it is a 100$.I am going to still try to build one using an old cd changer pigtail and applying the low voltage or full voltage signal to confuse HU of thinking a cd changer is connected i still do not have a diagram as to what all these pins do and they may all use a digital signal to trigger communication if so i guess i will be spending a hundred bucks or replacing the olesony with a real head unit. you can find this part faceplates and manuals or any other accesories from sony direct accessories and parts order online some FPs price reasonable and others u could probaly by a new cd player for just a bit more. also found numerous manuals. you can also download and read manuals online free by going to http://129.33.22.12/release/ then enter full model such as CDXCA810X .PDF found this site in another message below which led me to finding my manual http://129.33.22.12/release/CDXCA660X.PDF if anyone knows an easier or cheaper way to get rca inputs to work on these please let me know
