4ga wire

Joe New member Username: Rsta Post Number: 8 Registered: Nov-04	Posted on Sunday, November 14, 2004 - 22:01 GMT i got a 4ga wire kit from Knukonceptz, and i am wondering how you guys are crimping the connectors, are you going out and buying some big a$$ crimper?

I have a crimper for that size cable, but it's really a specialty tool. there are crimpless connectors for 4ga and larger now though.. if you shop around for them.

You will probably need a little butane torch for that big of a wire. If your going to crimp it like they said then test it to make sure it is a good crimp. You can do this by trying to pull the connector off the wire. If you can pull them apart then it is not a good crimp.
