Monday, November 15, 2004 - 03:45 GMT yeah a vice clamp works great in a pinch. I have a crimper for that size cable, but it's really a specialty tool. there are crimpless connectors for 4ga and larger now though.. if you shop around for them.

Monday, November 15, 2004 - 07:46 GMT Just solder it. You will probably need a little butane torch for that big of a wire. If your going to crimp it like they said then test it to make sure it is a good crimp. You can do this by trying to pull the connector off the wire. If you can pull them apart then it is not a good crimp.
