I am running the mtx 1501d. Its a nice amp, but a kicker 1200.1 would also suit your needs. the kicker amp will be underrated. the birth certificate on my mtx says 1079 watts rms x 1 @ 2ohm.
i was thinking about going for a jbl 1200.1 that is suppost to actually put out 1200 watts rms @ 2 ohms but i didn't know if that was enough power. You think they will still sound nice with 600 watts each instead of 750 ?
you know when you ask these kind of questions they are going to be open to all so here goes my opinion...im runnin a phoenix gold 1200.1 which is underrated according to the new testing that only a few amps are using..i think its scea rating or sumthin like that..anyways just an opinion and 600+ watts a speaker from 1-4 ohms stable is enough for those kickers anyday..
Even if the kickers require 750 doesn't mean that you have to feed it that much. 600 watts should be sufficient enough for the kickers to kick to full excursion.
well im putting the 2 L7's in a tiny a$s 1998 cavalier so hopefully ill get plenty of bass. The only other problem I had was my 6x9's. I know its not a subwoofer question but what do you guys have as a regular speaker set up. I have p.o.s. rockford fosgate speakers but I want to get the infinity kappas with a 300 watt amp. Is that good or can you think of something better ?
