Do CD Changers Require Amps?

I went into a shop to get a CD Changer for my impreza, but the sales guy wanted to sell me one of everything. Basically I am after a Sony CDX-757MX and need to know if I really need an Amp, even when using a 4x50w head unit. Cheers
