Ok, here's the question. I have a .66 cubic foot sealed box, and a decent one. The sub's reccomended for .75 cubic feet, should I build another box or use the one I have? I know that a little smaller is better than a little larger, but I'd still rather go the best route for sound quality. I have a 1,400 watt amp with < .03% distortion hitting it, so it has enough power to compress the air.
wouldn't adding insulation to the box decrease the volume of the enclosure? It's specifically designed to not require polyfill or insulation. Or did you mean in the car itself? Because i'm actually talking about home audio use. But I figured more people in this forum had actually built their own.
