I'd suggest getting some better made gear there instead of trying to compensate by using an audiocontrol epicenter. that's my suggestion for what it's worth. get a good pair of high excursion subs, and a good solid amp that delivers a lot of RMS power and you'll feel a much bigger difference. |
New member Username: ElecgeniusLa Puente, Ca United States Post Number: 8 Registered: Oct-04 | thanx again glass--- i had heard the 1206t's gave cleaner bass than the l7's so i went ahead and got those. i mean i think i got them cheap, like 120 a piece. maybe i got ripped off, but i got the registration and everything is legit. i think for 120 dollar subs and 140 dolla amps theyre alright |
New member Username: ElecgeniusLa Puente, Ca United States Post Number: 9 Registered: Oct-04 | one more ting- i kno the l'7 suck,,, i was comparing them by the price and the quality. |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 4538 Registered: Dec-03 | for $120 you could get a 12" adire shiva. excellent sub. needs about 300-500wRMS to get full performance. worth a look anyway www.adireaudio.com a single 600-1000 watt RMS class D amp (mono) will drive two of those very well, and can be picked up for $300-400 for a very nice one |
New member Username: ElecgeniusLa Puente, Ca United States Post Number: 10 Registered: Oct-04 | thanx, i guess ill upgrade to two 1000 rms amps-im thinking hifonics, so when i upgrade my subs ill be ready to go, and yes, i kno not to put the 2 1000 rms amps all the way up. thanx for the help glass |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 4551 Registered: Dec-03 | problem with those large subs is they're sloppy, and have low Xmax. just lots of surface area and a low Fs you'd be better off using the same airspace for multiple 12" or 15" subs. |
