Thats a totall of 4 6 1/2 2 tweeters and 2 4in mid thats up front. Diamonds have a rear faze chanel on there crosovers. I have a set of diamond 6by9s in the rear. so thats a tottal of 4 croseovers. Diamond hex call for 125 to 150 rms power for a set of components.I see alot of people running 2 2 chanel amps with like 1000wats each amp, isnt that over kill? what about a real good 4 chanel amp. If I ran 125watsx4 rms would that be good anough? |

New member Username: GlasswolfPost Number: 711 Registered: 12-2003 | JL has the 300/4 and 450/4 www.jlaudio.com Kicker has the KX600.4 www.kicker.com Zapco has some pretty beefed 4 channel amps I believe, but they are pretty pricey. www.zapco.com The 300/2 would work as well. Also look at the Sinfoni AMPLItude 120.4x (God I love that amplifier hehe) www.sinfoni.com |

New member Username: Stez_headPost Number: 1 Registered: 01-2004 | No you wont but 75WattsX4 would be great for 3way and 2way speakers (EG) Mosfet amlifires are usually 40 to 55 Watts per channel and ive had two 500 watt pioneer subs in my silverado for about 2 years and they are defining. |
New member Username: GlasswolfPost Number: 712 Registered: 12-2003 | Sinfoni has a US distributor you can contact, if you email them through their website. The 120.4x is in the four figure range. I don't recall the exact price, but I think it's around $1,500-2,000 US. The JL 450/4 puts 150W x 2 to the front speakers and 75W x 2 to the rear speakers. This works out well usually asince rear fill should be quieter than the front stage anyway. If the rear fill is too strong, or too bright, you kill your soundstage effect. The JL slash series amps all put out the same amount of power, regardless of the load from 1.5 to 4 Ohms. per channel. |
