Hooking up digital cable box?

rack04 Unregistered guest	Posted on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 - 18:56 GMT If I were to run a digital optical cable out of the digital cable box to the receiver and analog RCA cables out of the cable box to the TV would the receiver know which signal to send (i.e. digital signal to receiver, analog to tv)?
