New member Username: Kedora19Post Number: 1 Registered: Mar-10 | I want to connect my pc to my tv. My tv is quite old but my computer isn't, I have a Radeon HD 4870 graphics card with two dvi plugins. My tv doesn't have any HDMI plugins (so i can't use a dvi - hdmi cable) but has a component plugin. My video card came with a dvi to vga adapter. So I was wondering if I could plugin my vga cable into my graphics card using the dvi - vga adapter then use a vga - component adapter so I can plug it into my tv. Any help would be great. |

Assuming your TV is standard definition, you will need a modulator to do that. Something like this http://www.tekcable.com/impact-acoustics-pc-to-tv-converter.aspx However, a standard def TV is not capable of graphics resolutions anywhere near your computer monitor. In my experience, the computer display on an old TV is very disappointing. |
