I hooked up an optical cable from a computer to use a music software program on my home stereo. As soon as I played a song through the optical cable (it has worked before), the receiver turned off. Now the receiver will not go back on. I tried another receiver I had and it read "system overload" when I switched to the digital optical input that the computer was linked to. It seems blown too. Can an optical signal blow an entire receiver?? Twice. Is there something that could be wrong with the wire? Is there such a thing as too strong a signal from the computer? It does not make sense since both receivers are designed for optical input. Any help is appreciated.
