Mark O. Unregistered guest | I am connecting my HDTV cable box (Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200HD) to my new home theater receiver (Yamaha HTR-5850) and have a question about the audio hookup. The cable box has audio out options of either digital coax or RCA L/R. My options on the receiver end are eitehr digital optical or audio L/R input for DTV/CBL input. Will I be getting digital sound using the L/R inputs, or do I need a coax/optical converter to get it (and if so, is it worth doing the conversion)? Thanks in advance for anyone's help. |
