I'm trying to get stereo audio (later surroung 5.1) between 2 rooms, I already have a very long spare coaxial cable that I would like to use if possible (distance between rooms are 15m+ so I think it would be impractical to put down lots and lots of cables if I could get by with just one). Does anyone have any idea on how to accomplish this. I quess I need a modulator/demodulator in each end. If someone could point out some hardware for this or any other hints I would be very grateful.

Well let's see....
One coax will give you a mono line level feed. You will need a second amp or receiver in room #2. I've never considered doing this, but I suppose you could use the coax as a single speaker feed. Again, it's either mono or one channel.
Or, run a four conductor speaker cable to the second room.
