Hi. I make DVD recordings on a DVD recorder (Toshiba D-R2SU) that does NOT have component video in (although it has it Out). Its inputs are either S-Video (from dish network box or a DVD Player) or Audio-Visual Cables (from an older VCR).
I don't use this recorder or its TV to watch DVD's. I have a Sony DVP-NS501-P DVD Player in my living room for that purpose.
My question is: Will it do me any good to have component video cables from my Sony player to its TV, since many of the DVD's I play on it will have been burned on the Toshiba which does not have component video input?
