SAFE to buy used Interconnects?, expire date?URGENT

I am offered some quality interconnects like Van den hul D102 mkIII, used for around 3 years for little money.
Is it safe to buy them used , can there something go wrong with them during time that makes them bad choice for buying?

What signs to look for.?
