I am prewiring my new home construction for future audio/video and would like to know if anyone can provide a recommendation for cable options for a future front projector (The projector would be used for High Defintion video and movies)
I was thinking of running 3 lines of coaxial Quad RG6 to be used as component video cable (RGB)for digitial HD transmission to save money and allow for a longer run to the AV center. Will this work well? I have to run 30 feet to the AV cabinet from where the projector would be mounted. (DVI Component cables are so expensive and hard to find in the longer runs that I need).
Thank you,
Brian

It will work fine. We usually use:
3 RG6 for HD 1 RG6 for Composite 1 22 guage 4 conductor shielded for control
The longest length we have installed has been 275 feet with no issues.
