I just bought a new TV that has component jacks and was wondering if I could use the regular composite cables to hook up my toshiba DVD player using the component jacks? Will I still get the better picture and will it hurt anything? Do the component cables really make that big of difference?
you should be fine. There are differing thoughts on this topic, however, so my advice is only my own. I found that using component cables that are of better construction and materials provide a richer picture than using the run of the mill RCA cables. Specially on progressive scan dvd players.
