Anonymous | Ripped Off. If you don't want to get ripped off again, go to E-Bay where you can buy anything you want at the best prices and pay through PayPal (ripoff-proof). As for getting the card "fixed," there are a hundred places on-line that'll offer to do it for you, 95 of which will also rip you off. Get it done locally. That'll be your biggest problem: There are good people on this and every other site who could put you in contact with a local "programmer" wherever you live, but no one is going to give that info out over the internet. You'll have to ask around in the area where you live. |

the voice Unregistered guest | To learn U must go to a DSS site such as [link removed] (sister sites)and READ,READ,READ all that U can...they have various sections in the forums for various topics such as P4,DTV,Dishnet,Bev,FTA, etc..and within thoses topics there are areas called "newbies" and "getting started" which explains to new people in the hobby how to get started...after reading these,then ask questions and post them as U do here,soneone is always available to help...also there is the "chat" area for quick replies and help...and lastly there is the "files" area which ontains many "readme's" and "how to's"...so whatever info U seek U can and will find the answer..and in a positive and helpful manner..also there is a SEARCH feature there that is very useful for seeking specific info regarding specific question..If U want to learn anything about DSS (Dish,Bev,DTV FTA) that is the place to go...tons of info,help,files,fixes etc...good luck in your new hobby..please do remember that this hobby does take much effort and reading on your own,and there is little spoon feeding...many newbies expect to do nothing,have no patience and just want free TV immediately..U must read and learn and devote some time reading and testing to reap the rewards of this hobby..but these sites are like encyclepedia's,but U must do the reading.. |

DSS Man Unregistered guest | Ripped Off, I would recommend you buy a dishnet reciever (3100 or 3900 modle) and a Rom10 card. Dishnet and bev are actively shutting down rom3 cards as DTV did with the HU card. Completion of the rom3 shutdown is about 6 months. The magic card offers nothing special so I would stay away from it. As for the FTA recievers, I would not go with any of them. As soon as dishnet and bev go from nagravision1 to nagravision2, the FTA recievers will be useless. Hope this helps. |

You'll have to provide me with an e-mail address so we can talk off line. windup, I beleive there will be a swap beginning very soon and yes, they will notify theie customers. 2 weeks ago, dishnet sent a nation wide ecm that looped about 95% of all hacked rom3 cards which to this day still can not be unlooped. Also, I guess I should rephrase what I said in my last post. Dishnet and bev WILL BE actively swapping out rom3 cards. They haven't started yet, but they will. |

Anonymous | leslie jones/DSS Man: I went to satthouse, as well, and found what I think you're referring to at http://pro3M.tk If that's where you ended up--they mention the P5 hack, the P4 hack, and they accept payment via PayPal--but I read their notice a bit differently: They said they are accepting donations for the P4 hack, but didn't actually claim to have it. They also said that they were in the process of making the software transition from HU to P4, and that means they aren't there yet. Which obviously means that any donators will not be seeing any DTV. If I ended up at the wrong site, 'scuse me, but I did check virtually all of the others out. |

Anonymous | Initially I heard that the Mikobu III was the programmer most likely to work with the P4 - once a flash becomes available. Now I am seeing more talk that the ISO's are the only way to go. That is, if any existing ones will work rather than having to go with new hardware that does not yet exist (at least for the general public). Also, I am hearing more P5 talk than P4. Does anyone here have any educated opinions on these subjects yet? Most people would probably be willing to take a chance on buying before it hits & prices skyrocket. |

Anonymous | Voice, I just get a Javascript error when I try to click on the public file links. This happens on multiple systems. I made the mistake of loading AOL v9 for the old lady's email & it included a popup blocker (auto load with no option not to) that I think I disabled on 1 system (who knows with AOL) & thought that may be the problem - but when it didn't work on other systems without it, that blew that theory. Are you having problems with the links, or is it something on my end? I have not had problems elsewhere. |

dss dork Unregistered guest | dss man i talked to my boy again told him what rom cards he had i told him to look at the bottom right hand corner the side where the gold contacts are at to read off the numbers so i can determine what rom the cards are he read off like 6 numbers i have no idea what rom cards they are but i am posativly sure he has all different rom from 2 to 101 i am sure of this and same with the receivers which ever ones charlie made he has .......you ask how do i know he has this well where im at the catv co has a special you sign up if you have dtv or dish and they give you 6 months free anyways part of the deal is that they take down your dish and receivers and thats how he gets them...when i was talking to him he said last month they dumped 120+ cards and receivers for dish.once i go over to his house i will find out moreand let you know...and for any newbies wanna switch to dish dont know where to start try this site very helpful step by step!!! |

Anonymous | This is a bit off topic, but the experts all seem to be here. Anyone have any experience with mikobu3.com? I ordered their Mikobu Combo. I received the loader in less than a week, but the bootstrap was not with it. I sent an E-mail to them asking about it, and they responded that the price I paid didn't match theirs, even though it went through PayPal's Shopping Cart. They asked me to let them know where I ordered it & said they would send the bootstrap. I gave them the link I used, and now I have not heard back from them or received it after 3 E-mails & 3 weeks. I have not seen any scam feedback anywhere on them, so I was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about them. |

the ultimate satellite freak Unregistered guest | i've been searching the web for many many months hoping to find a new dss hack. a few places have been claiming to have solutions for awhile such as they say the have an all channel open activation script with a working wipe for the ppvs. on page two of cpwave's site is a file page shared from dsscental, meaning dsscentral should know about these guys and if what they claim is legit or not. i never really get to hear if people are getting screwed or NOT buying support from these web sites examp 3moffshore satthouse dssfilezone .... i'm too much of a puss to give one of these sites my money without having outside confirmation, but all i keep thinking about while i endlessly search the web for a solution is that i'm not really finding negative feedback about these sites. i'm sure other people have stumbled upon these sites, and some i'm sure many have payed hoping for t.v. so for the people who have tried and the people that are going to try, please post your results good or bad for the benefit of all satellite freaks waiting for free Digital Audio Video Equipment (dave tv) television. |

I would to stay away from it for now. Leslie jones, I still owe you an e-mail and I will send it, I've just been very busy with installations and haven't had the energy to turn on my computer at night. voice, that was a great description you posted above on how to recognize rom cards. I'm going to write it down and keep as a reference for my interest. And Thank you for the complements! PS..any luck on a rom3 unlooper? I have the sc unlooper from dsscentral but haven't had a chance to try it. Any advice before I begin? |

DSS Man Unregistered guest | leslie jones, Thanks for letting me know about the reply you recieved. They certainly did avoid the heart of your question. I think that if anybody is going to find or get the hack, it will be at dsscentral. There are some very knowlegable programmers visiting their site with really good ideas. But one thing that was said on one of their discussion threads is that dave is waiting to see who hacks his card and when they find out, they will send the FBI after them. This is why if there is a hack, it's going to stay private for awhile longer. Nobody wants to go to jail so people must what they can to protect themselves. |

My biggest concern with anyone representing another site who disses someone else is for the obvious reason, but then, like I said, he represents a highly respected site. the voice: Have you guys actually tried what satthouse is offering?..or are you basing your opinion on what others have posted you? No disrespect intended. I'm just tempted to give them a shot, but if you will say that you have personal knowledge that it's a scam then, of course, I'll save my money. I did think of a couple of problems: 1) the person accepting the PayPal payments would have to give out his paypal address and break his anomnimity. 2) that person would risk sending a payment to satthouse which could be owned by DAVE. |

Bronze Member Username: R_solePost Number: 23 Registered: Jun-04 | Good points Leslie, I have heard though that any site owned by dave can not actualy sell you anything, they have taken over sites in the past, and then stopped selling things,but I think offering someone something and then aresting them for buying it is entrapment in both Can and the USA (you never see the under cover h0okers ask if you want s*x on cops, they have to wait till the guy asks them!) hahah anyway I am not too sure but you MAY be able to change a payapal email adress to an annon. hotmail. I have a hotmail adress for my acct. so right now so I can't see why a "dummy" one can't be used. besides If it does work the person taking the risk gets a programer and a new 3m! I think you could get them to drop it to $200 with just the programer and the support... maybey even less if we tell them what we are doing... ..oh..and I'm in for 10 bucks |

Both of you jumped back in with new posts before I got my previous one in, somewhat belatedly. Richard's right about the entrapment-thing, but I'm not so sure about the dummy hotmail account being an acceptable PayPal mailing address. Besides, anything anyone buys on the internet using any service can be traced back to the buyer's credit card regardless of the mailing address. Which might also be a moot point because U.S. courts have ruled that DTV, et al, must prove INTENT; that is, buying or owning any-thing that COULD be used for illegal purposes isn't good enough: they must prove that you ARE using it illegally. Anyway, I'm in for whatever price with whomever we decide on (leslie!..leslie!..leslie!). |
