New member Username: OaktownPost Number: 1 Registered: Sep-04 | Hey guys, working on an entertainment center for the new homw and I have been told for the TV I want it is not worth having with the normal DirecTV that I have now. How true is this? WIll the picture be that bad on a Samsung 50 inch DLP with just regular DirecTV? If I want to go HDTV with DirecTV, I understand that I will need to replace my dish..but what exactly do I need in terms of hardware after that? I have read a lot and nothing seems to tell me exactly (and completely) what I need. Would greatly appreciate any help or response. Thanks. SJ |

Unregistered guest | Scott, If you are a long term customer DirectTV will credit you back $250 on the price of a HD receiver when you activate it. They offer some for $349 but they let me buy one retail at BB for $299 so I could choose the one I wanted which was the Samsung SIR-360. It came with the new dish but it was actually cheaper to have them install their own dish which was free except for tax. Talk with DirectTV on the phone and make them give you the same deal to keep your business. Their HD channel package is and extra $10.99 a month but it is on a deal now where the first 6mo are free. See my posting under rear projection TV. I am very happy with the HD tv on my HLP6163W with this receiver and DirectTV. |

This site is legit and so is activation. Go ahead Mr. Negative..aka...applebee..aka DAVE employee. People its only obvious applebee works for other side(dave) as hes out to discredit all sites as scammers without thorouly checking out. This guys probably on dsscentral too..what a joke People check out for yourselves sathouse site. I just would like people to enjoy FREE dave tv again without DAVE employees such as applebee f#cking it up. |
