I'm not using it right now cause my cable company does not support the dvi out put on their high def box, and my dvd player doesn't have a dvi out. My question is this: I hear HDMI is the new thing and that DVI has too many problems to be widely used. if this is the case, and my next dvd player has an HDMI output will it work with my DVI input on my TV? Thanks |

But then, why would you want to run digital audio to your tv? In most cases, dig. audio would be run by means of optical of dig. coax to your surround receiver. Anyway, here is the thread for some good reading!... https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/76612.html |
kanadien Unregistered guest | I have had no problems with dvi... Besides the price of the cables.... HDMI and DVI cables have adapters to switch signal from one to the other. However Jacob is correct the dvi doesn't have audio.. I agree with Jacob, why not run optical.. Huge picture improvement with dvi/hdmi on my 56 samsung dlp!!!!!! |
