Silver Member Username: JmloughreyFarmington, CT Post Number: 283 Registered: Jul-04 | Dillema...narrowed down yet again to what to get, Right now i have 2 12" kicker L5's that i want to get ride of, desperatly want to get ride of, i am looking into getting a single 12 that would out perform these subs in SQ as well as SPL and i know it can be done... I'm looking into either: 12" Brahma or 12" RE X.X.X the x.x.x is 25 bucks more, would either of these subs be better then what i have now, say run in there reccomended ported box size tuned to about 33hz with 800x1 @ 4 ohms RMS or 400x2 @ 2 ohms rms (wire each voice coil to a separate channel) Thanks guys... |

Anonymous | as for SPL...let me put it this way, a brahma 10" displaces just about as much are as an L5 12"...and for SQ...way better SQ than the L5 12" so in the right box an Brahma or x.x.x. would be better than the L5's the x.x.x. would be a little louder than the brahma too... oh...and wire it to 4 ohms and bridge the amp. |

Silver Member Username: JmloughreyFarmington, CT Post Number: 284 Registered: Jul-04 | the L5's, not too sure i was thinking of around 350-375 shipped, depending on if you want the box then they'll be considerably more, the box is pretty damn heavy, takes two people to carry it from the garage to my trunk. The subs are dual 2 ohms, and i have them run with a Audiobahn A8002T (got a good deal and was on a budget at the time) pushes 800x1 rms @ 4 ohms, so i've got my subs going to 2 channels that are getting about 275rms at the moment, amp runs reallly cool so i've got no complaints. It was a thought but i was gonna just sell my whole system, The L5's, the amp and a Kenwood KDC-X569 headunit that i've had for like 4 months. any offers on the amp and headunit, sean if you want the L5's let me know...even if you want 1 of em i can do that and send a sealed box along with it as i'd have no use for it... |

Just needs new fuses because i had to borrow them...i'd even throw those in for ya... Also, i'll throw the auctions up on ebay just for your saftey and whatnot... |

I wanted to get that sub! D@MN! Sorry I dont think I can buy that sub, if I had a 1 ohm stable amp I would but I got a P3001 and it aint 1 ohm stable and 4 ohm load wouldnt be enough power. SORRY. |
