I bought a 15" MTX THunder 3000 sub from a garage sale ($25 bucks). However, I dont know which one I neccesarily have. Here are two links:

It only says thunder 3000 on it, so I'm kinda wondering... Also, tell me what you think of the sub. thanks in advance.

look on the back of the magnet to see what ohm your sub is. does it even work?

your gonna laugh at this, but i hooked it up to my 100 watt receiver for my home entertainment system to test it, and it sounded good. Here is a picture of the back of the magnet. It doesnt say how many ohms.

Yeah, just dial the multimeter to the resistance setting and measure across the sub leads(polarity doesn't matter).

That'll give you the Re or DC resistance of your sub(not Z). Matching that with the specs should help you find out which sub you have. The Re you measure should be close to 3.29 for the 4ohm or 6.51 for the 8ohm model according to the specs provided by your links.
