I have a 12w7, and East Hamilton radio Hooked me up with a Phoenix gold octane R 15.0:1 Class d Mono Amp, 1500 watts max.. Is it enough for this sub? Here are the specs.....

18dB varia1500W x 1 (2 ohm mono) max power subsonic filter
18dB variable LP crossover
Dimensions: 14.5L x 10.875W x 2.25H

Now... I don't know i ton about JL 12w7's but that does sound like it should run the sub well, as long is it is just 1 sub, because i think that those are dule voice coil, and that would bring the ohms too low for that amp, but if you are just running one sub, it should work.

That amp is actually 1000W RMS at 2 ohms, 500W RMS at 4 ohms. The 12W7 is a single voice coil 3 ohm sub, and that amp is right on target for a 12W7 as it will put out 750W RMS@ 3 ohms. The only W7 that's DVC is the 13W7, it's a dual 1.5 ohm sub.
