First off, I feel like a Newbie asking these questions, but I'm in central PA, and the only descent Audio Dealer we have around here only really stock Kicker and JL audio, therefore if I don't like either of these, what how am I going to listen to subs before I get them. I recently posted a thread that asked for recommendations on Sound Quality subs, but first let me start by saying that I want a set of sound quality subs, that reach their Manufacturer posted RMS LOWER than 500. And I know many people say that its all thermal... etc etc. Well I don't want that, because I've decided that I just want to finish my system right now, and to do that I need a descent set of either 10's or 12's. I prefer 10's, because they will fit. Therefore, please keep that in mind. 12's may do, but its if-fy. Here is what I've been considering for subs. Please recommend the best OF these based on sheer musical reproduction, as in how well the cords of the bass guitar will sound. I don't listen to rap... so fake rumbling that subs often produce is well.... useless to me.
Here is what I'm considering.

I would prefer posters rate these best to worst when making a recommendation, and this is based on complete sound quality.

Cerwin Vega Vmax Sub
Cerwin Vega HED sub
Image Dynamics IDQ
Memphis PR series
JL audio W6V2
Infinity Perfect 10.1 or 10.1d
Infinity Perfect 10vq
Adire Shiva

These are what I'm looking at, and the only ones I'll consider for the most part. Right now I'm most torn between the Perfect 10.1, the Perfect 10vq, and the IDQ.

Please let me know what you think based on the sound quality of these subs. If you can name a better sub thats not on this list that is in similar price and Wattage(they don't make many alternators aftermarket for 626's) then feel free.

For sheer SQ out of those, I recommend either the IDQ or Perfect 10.1. You'll never use the variable Q technology unless you have 3 different boxes on hand, and you're after SQ anyway so just build the recommended box. Both great sound quality subs.

I would suggest buying one IDMAX instead of two IDQs. It has better SQ, and is 1000 rms. If you were going to get two 500 rms subs this shouldn't be a problem. It also won't cost much more. I believe two IDQs run at around $250-300. You can get an IDMAX for around $300 on ebay.

An ID Max will spank any Alpine sub out there in sound quality, as well as an IDQ. So will Eclipse Titaniums, JL W7's, RE X.X.X. subs, Adire Audio Brahmas, Donalds entire list above, etc. Alpine subs are mediocre as far as SQ/SPL, whoever told you they're the best for SQ obviously doesn't have a lot of experience with the top brands. They're o.k. for a budget, but for the same price range as the Alpines there are still better subs out there. It's kind of ignorant to push Alpine over other brands when you haven't had experience and only go by word of mouth. You can't trust everybody, I've heard people that said Sony rules... but I think everyone on this board knows the real truth behind that.

I love mine. Pushing it with a JL 1000/1 in a 1.3 cu ft (gross) sealed box. Excellent sound quality, SPL isn't shabby either.
