I'm kinda new to car audio, do I need an amp that bridges into 4 ohms for the sub, or do I want to run 2 ohms to it? |

Go here: http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/S-sd5WvEbuLoj/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wi ring.html?subs=1&impedance=DVC4x2 You want to wire the sub like the first diagram, and that will show the amp a 2 ohm load. If the rating on the sub is 500 watts RMS, then you need an amp that gives 500 watts into 2 ohms. |
