ok, when my stereo is turned off, but the key is in the ignition (i.e. no music is playing, but head unit lights up) - - my drivers side tweeter makes a sort of buzzing sound. i can't figure it out, what's causing the problem.

is this a common prob? do i have a wire crossed somewhere? when the stereo is turned on, the buzz continues, and its noticeable at low volumes... but at high volumes not as bad.

i dont have a clue.

theres infinity reference component 6500CS's

Probably just ground noise. Try moving the ground to your amp (assuming there is one) to a different location touching bare metal.

hmm... why would only one of the four tweeters make the sound? and not the midbass that is wired into the same crossover as the tweeter i have the problem with?

i'll take the whole tweeter/midbass/crossover out later this week, and reinstall it, just to make sure i didnt mess anything up during the first install, but i was wondering if anyone had a similar prob/answer to my question.

Well, I was going to say that you only notice it because you're closest to that one, but it may just be that one of the wire ends or terminals for the tweeter is grounding out.
