Greetings, i came across what i though was a great deal on this piece of equipment only to find out it is PAL format There is a function in the menu that states "NTSC PB" [which i assume is playback] and offers a choice of "On PAL TV" and "NTSC 4.43". Herein lies the rub: i wish to convert these mini DV's onto DVD / VHS at some point. So far, using the "AVout" 1/8inch-mini output, all i can get is a B/W image on my VHS. Does anyone know [WITH CERTAINTY as i've seen a lot of wavering opinions on this] if i will succesful in my endeavors to transfer [w/o spending an arm and a leg] these PAL DV's to DVD / VCD /VHS either through analog means or digitally [either on computer or standalone VCD/DVD burners]? thank you immensley for your replys
