Admittedly not tech-savvy,but desperately trying to transfer Sony Handycam (CCD-TRV16) Hi-8 tapes onto my Asus 5755 laptop via Pinnacle Studio 15 gadget. I do not have a firewire port in my camcorder or my laptop. Do I either need a firewire connection or an S-video connection to make this transfer work? I feel like I need a visual to make sure I'm understanding exact connections needed to be successful (thus far, I just get error message on Pinnacle program, saying "no input signal detected").
