Posted on I have just bought a second hand Clarion PU2294A © Head unit for my also recently bought Peugeot 306, which thanks to one of the members here who gave me a security code, works a treat. BUT.....The only problem is that as soon as I switch off the ignition, the code is gone, and I have to reset the code to make it work again? Does anyone have any ideas why that would happen?
The head unit, as far as I am aware is the standard fit unit for my car, however when I was fitting the unit I found that the biggest of the 3 connectors did not fit the head unit, and the wiring to the new type plug, although very neatly and professionally finished, did not look standard.
This means I only have the 2 smaller connectors plugged into the unit, and I left the bigger one dangling in the breeze.
Is this the reason my stereo has no memory, due to the bigger connector not being plugged in?
