Friday, March 21, 2014 - 13:14 GMT Hello. I just built a box to my subwoofer. The Subwoofer : https://docs.sony.com/release/specs/XSL121P5_mksp.pdf The box is 45 * 40 * 40 cm. I used chipboard, 2,2 mm. I want to place a tube in the speaker, how long and what radius should it have ? Thank you

Friday, March 21, 2014 - 14:56 GMT Sub is recommended for sealed use, will not sound nice in a ported box but anyways, a 4 inch diameter port 28 cm long would tune you to 34 Hz.

Friday, March 21, 2014 - 17:44 GMT Thank you. Would you rec. to have a sealed box? thought the sound would be deeper if i had it ported.

Monday, March 24, 2014 - 05:49 GMT Since you already built the box, try it out, if it turns out that it doesn't sound right to you, then build the sealed.

Tuesday, March 25, 2014 - 23:56 GMT You will never get great performance from this sub but you could try once more, I guess you meant that wood thickness is 22 milimeters, in that case to tune to 33Hz you would need to do a 40 cm (10 cm external) length port as follows:
