Ok so u have two l7 12s and I need to build a box I want to tune it to 35 hz and run about 2.5 cubic ft or a little more I have an extended cab colorado and im runnin a 2600 watt class d hifonics amp at one ohms. And ive been doing installs for years but ported boxes have always been tricky too me. I want the subs facin up I guess would be best and idk if I need one port on one side of the box and keep the subs in a single chamber or run a divder in the middle with the two ports on either side of the divider.... but heres my demensions can u help me design the box. I can go 40 inches wide 16 inches deep and 24 inches tall I need help designing the box. Building it isnt a problem...anyone got any advice
Happy building then, use Titebond 2 or 3 wood glue and MDF screws or drywall screws if possible for better results. 1 1/4" wooden rod dowels for the braces.
Yes the baffle is dual layer, wood glue bonds best, getting straight cuts is key, then some clamps and/or the screws to hold it in place while it dries, silicone caulk as a sealant after everything is dry to make sure there are no leaks. That should do it.
If u dont mind helpin me with one more boxmy roommate has two kicker cvr 15s he wants a box just like mine tunned to 34hz 48 inches wide 20 thick and 14 deep he wants 3.5 cubic feet per sub I no these measuement may,be to big
2 Cvr 15s would need a much larger enclosure than yours, in fact in those dimensions it can't be done, those subs will like 4-4.5 cubes net internal each. Besides they can handle much less power than the L7s.
Yea I no they dont really hold much powe but he got two for $100 so he juat wants to build a nice box for them as long as the box isnt widder than 48 inches and deepper than 20 inches it will fit it can be as deep as it needs to be do u mind helpin him out with a box for those make it however u need too
