I have a ceramic capacitor that has blown out. It is either part number C563 or C560, the last number is a bit distorted on the circuit board. the numbers on the capacitor are as follows: HRR 561 K 2KV
I need a replacement capacitor and can't find one anywhere, Fry's , Radio Shack, Local TV repair place.
Can someone point me in the right direction to acquire this capacitor.
All I can make out of the numbers....is that it is a 2kv part.....=2000 volts. That makes it a high voltage cap...probably in the lamp firing circuit...but that's just a guess.
Digikey would have the part if you could actually figure out both its value and voltage rating.
Than.....as is usual when something like that pops, you will have OTHER problems yet to be found. Perhaps replace the entire board? Do you have the skillset and equipment to change such a part on-board?
Be careful. You are dealing with potentially LETHAL voltages for which a single mistake results in going room tempreture.
