New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 4 Registered: Apr-09 | hi skater bum ,thanks for wizard software, i want to install concept 650mk11 into a bmw (e36 model) 1998 m3,have you any info on wiring diagrams for this car and can you tell me what type trigger set up i would use for the door locks.thanks again. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 13 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Skater Bum, could you also be so kind to send me the wiring diagram for a 2006 BMW M3 (convertible) ? |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 371 Registered: Mar-06 | rudy, You've got mail. Sorry, I didn't find anything for an M3. MARGUERITE KEHOE, Sorry, I couldn't find anything for an E36 model either. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 14 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Skater Bum, thanks!! Strange that there is no BMW info.... Marguerite... : as I recall (I am not completely sure though, it has been a while for me), but if I'm not mistaken the trigger for the E36 doorlocks is positive. But u'll need to use a diode in between the open and close trigger (don't know which site goes where..) if you don't do that, the doors will close and open again after arming. I'll try to get the info a 100% sure for you, but maybe this will already help a bit.... |
New member Username: SwanieDublin Ireland Post Number: 1 Registered: Apr-09 | hi i wondering is someone can help me out with a clifford 650 mk2 i some issuse with programing window closure unit i need to how to program it or does someone have the installers guide for it please my e-mail us ronancarey@beaumont.ie |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 15 Registered: Jun-08 | Ronan, is it the window closure unit or the smartwindows unit you are having trouble with? |
New member Username: SwanieDublin Ireland Post Number: 2 Registered: Apr-09 | hi ruby the window closure unit the guy who fitted disconnected it cause it was draining the battery he said he put it on an another button on the remote but he didnt and he not taking my calls or texts so i really stuck at the min |
New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 5 Registered: Apr-09 | Thanks anyway SKATER BUM for trying, Hi RUDY thanks for that ,knowing its positive helps a lot, |
New member Username: Jay7792Post Number: 2 Registered: Apr-09 | Hi Skater Bum, do you by any chance have a wiring diagram for installing a concept 650 into a 1998 Ford Escort GTi My email address is: jayjenkins7792@yahoo.co.uk Thanks very much in advance. Jay |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 16 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Ronan... is the window closure from DEI or clifford, thus an american brand or is it a European brand? Could be that he used the minus output when armed, and depending on the module that would keep the module powered on, and thus draining the battery.... maybe putting the channel 3 or C on it and programming this channel to be automatically activated upon arming for a timed period will resolve this. Then again, if it is a european closure model then the module is activated by a positive pulse ( in contrary to the American neg. pulse modules)... some installers, in this case use a relay to reverse polarity..... forgetting that that relay also draws extra power and thus draining your battery... so u need to find out what brand the closure module is, and what kind of pulse it utilizes.... and then which output when armed it is receiving from the clifford concept 650 |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 372 Registered: Mar-06 | Jay Jenkins, I've sent you three emails. One has the installation guide for the Concept 650. If you need the one for the 650 MKII let me know. The other two emails were vehicle information for the 1998 Ford Escort. One is for the UK version and the second is for the USA version. |
New member Username: Jay7792Post Number: 3 Registered: Apr-09 | Thanks very much Skater Bum, very much appreciated. Am I likely to need to add relays to connect the lock/unlock wires to the cars central locking system (1998 Ford Escort GTi) and does anyone know if its negative or positive switching? Jay |
New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 6 Registered: Apr-09 | hi i need some help here ,650mk2 into bmw e36 .On the primary harness the two white wires h1/1 and h/10 are conneted to indicator light flash output ,would this be wire at hazard button that pulses 0 to 12 volts on pushing this button and on pigtail harness should wire h4/4(+)12v input connect to wire showing 12v constant at hazard button.there are two other wires also on hazard button. Also on secondary harness any ideas where to connect h2/4 brake light output (this wire powers the brake light circuit from the 12v source on h2/8,) and h2/8 brake light +12v input (this is the polarity source for the brake light output and must be a 12volt constant. Are both on brake switch and if so does 12 volt constant mean when ignition is switched on or 12volt all the time .?? all help greatly appreciated. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 17 Registered: Jun-08 | Marguerite the indicator light should NOT be taken form the hazard switch. You can find the wires here: 1991 models: lightblue-green en lightblue-brown under the steeringwheelcolomn or behind left kickpanel 1996: blue-green and blue-brown in black connector behind left kickpanel Just connect the brake light wires at the brake light switch. You should find one wire which has a constant 12v plus on it and the other which becomes 12v when the brake is pressed. (do your brakelights work with the ignition off? If they don't you'll need to switch the ignition on in order the get the appropriate 12v wire). I'm not completely sure, but in my knowledge it doesn't matter if the source wire is 12v constant or ignition, it just depends on how your vehicle is set up. Best way is to just get the wires at the brake pedal switch. And just in case you need it : RPM signal is a black wire which can be found in a bundle of 16 wires underneath the dash, these wires go to the white plug going into the speedometer unit |
New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 7 Registered: Apr-09 | Hi Rudy thats done and working ,i have immobisied the ignition but cant find the starter wire(black yellow ?)after that its just door triggers (negative i think)locks are done and used diodes to double lock, also for taco i used a small black wire going to OBC module but havent tested rpm programming so may yet need to take out cluster.getting there and thanks for the info. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 18 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Marguerite, the starter wire should also just be located in the wireloom coming from the key switch. I'm not sure, but I think BMW has positive door locks... but you should be able to verify this, by simply testing it. If you ca''t find the rpm wire inside, it can also be found in the engine compartment, there should be a (about 2 inches in diameter) round diagnosis plug, I believe pin 1 is the rpm wire. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 19 Registered: Jun-08 | To Skater Bum and Gary Anderson: Hi guys, in your post tread from jan.11th. you were asking about the problem getting into your system with the cliffnet wizard. The problem is NOT the cable with the RCA plug attached to it. The problem is that your system ( Gary) is a UK version. These are Thatcham approved, and before you are able to get into the software you MUST enter the valet code. If you don't have this, then you will not be able to get into the system, not by the valet switch, nor by computer. Reason for this is extra security, since Thatcham approved systems are used by insurance companies to accept policies and lower premiums. So long story short: not a wire problem, but a standard European feature maybe a little too late, but still this info can be used for similar cases in the future..... |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 374 Registered: Mar-06 | Jay Jenkins, Your doorlocks are negative triggered and the Concept 650 provides a negative pulse output so you should not have to add relays. rudy, Thanks for the information! I'll make a note of it. |
New member Username: Jay7792Post Number: 4 Registered: Apr-09 | Thanks Skater Bum. Hi everyone, what is the best way of finding out if your lights and stuff are negatively or positively switched? The reason I need to know is so that I know where to put the Input wire's, either to earth or +12v. Jay |
New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 8 Registered: Apr-09 | To anyone that wants to install a clifford into a bmw e36 and need info on how i can help and mabye save them some time as i have finished install of 650mk11 into my 98 m3 . thanks Rudy and Skater bum for help along the way. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 20 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Skater Bum... question, the 2009 VW Scirocco uses a Can Bus systematic. Are you familiar with this? Any idea on how to get a Avantguard in there? |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 377 Registered: Mar-06 | rudy, The car is too new. I don't have any wiring information on it yet. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 21 Registered: Jun-08 | Skater Bum, thanks do you have the wiring diagram for a 2004 Jeep cherokee (liberty)? this is a 2.5 diesel version, but I don't think that will make much of a difference...any info you got is welcome |
New member Username: K16tomcatPost Number: 1 Registered: May-09 | Hi, Is anyone able to send me the installation instructions for a G5 Clifford Concept 650. I am unsure if it is a Mk I or Mk II? I removed it from my car late last year to be fitted to my project car this year and now it is ready I have lost the notes I made for the designations of the wires. Also, is there any information on the pins for the 8 black leads? I am led to believe that these cables are labelled on a new unit and that the labels removed during installation? Cheers Carl |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 22 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Carl, sounds to me like you have a UK Thatcham approved version?? I have one like that laying around here. Let me check if I can get some info on the black wiring |
New member Username: K16tomcatPost Number: 2 Registered: May-09 | Hi Rudy, Thankyou for the quick reply! I beleive it would be the UK Thatcham Approved version. I did have a Certificate for its original installation that I had to present to the insurance company. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 23 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Carl, you are from the UK? Then it will be the thatcham approved version. I've just checked the black wires: You need to open the main unit, there you'll see the black wires soldered onto the main print. These point are all conveniently numbered(1 through 8, however notice: not sequentially) pin 1 and 2 are constant plus pin 3 and 4 are ground pin 5 and 6 are starter in and output. I'm not sure which one is the input but I reckon it's pin5 . Then you stil have pin 7 and 8, which should then be the ignition plus, I guess pin 7 will be the input. Keep in mind though that I have just checked this by looking at the wireloom from the one I have right here, also taken out from a car. So though I'm pretty sure this is all correct I won't take responsability for it. For the other connections you can check www.guardianalarms.net/home_security_manuals/Clifford-Electronics/Concept -650-Installation-Manual.pdf |
New member Username: K16tomcatPost Number: 3 Registered: May-09 | Hi Rudy, Thankyou again for your help with this, I have just downloaded the manual from the link you gave me, it looks very helpful. I have also just opened the case to have a look inside and like you say the cables are numbered in a non-sequential order. Looking through the wiring insructions for these two 4-pin plugs I have noticed that there are 4 cables that do the Ignition and Starter, and also like you say a pair of Live wires and a Pair of Earth's however, it seems that one pair is for the "Light Flash Input" which I assume would be for the Indicator flash while arming and disarming the alarm and another pair for the power to the Clifford Control Unit? Is there any way to distinguish between these wires at all? Cheers Carl |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 24 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Carl, glad I could help. Simplest way is to just put a fuse holder between each lead, connect it and then take the fuse out of one of them. If the alarm remains to work then the fuse you took out is for the parking light input..... |
New member Username: K16tomcatPost Number: 4 Registered: May-09 | Hi Rudy, You mentioning the fuses made this much easier. I had left the fuse holders and fuses attached to the loom when I cut it from the old car. Using the different ratings and referring to the installation guide it was easy to identify all of the wires so I think I have it all sorted now. Hopefully I'll get time over the next few days to have a go at getting this installed. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again. Carl |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 25 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Skater Bum, it turned quiet upthere.... what happened? |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 379 Registered: Mar-06 | rudy, I've been gone for a few days. But it looks like carl was helping you out. Did you need something else? |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 26 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Skater Bum, already thought you would be out.... hope for positive reasons... I am looking for the wiring diagram of a 2004 Jeep Cherokee or Liberty. Are you able to get that info? |
New member Username: RedhotlamaPost Number: 1 Registered: May-09 | So i have the Clifford 50.5x in a car i just bought and it has the shock sensor. I definately want to add the 507M tilt sensor. And am thinking about the Radar/proximity sensor 508D Audio Sensor 506T Battery Backup 520T Extra Siren 513T And maybe down the line the Window control 530T. Anyone know where i can find the manuals for the 507M 508D 520T 513T I already found them for the 530T and 506T. Also any other suggestions for installs and parts needed? Extra relays or diodes? If you have the emails, its ken.mott@gmail.com |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 380 Registered: Mar-06 | rudy, I sent one for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and one for the Liberty to your email address. I just realized that you mentioned Cherokee and not Grand Cherokee. I'll send that one as well. They only go up to 2001 on the Cherokee. Ken Mott, I found manuals for the 507M, 508D and 520T and emailed them to you. I didn't find one for the 513T, though. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 27 Registered: Jun-08 | Skater Bum, thanks again... in cases like this there is no such thing as too much info..... |
New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 9 Registered: Apr-09 | Hi everybody i want to add an onmisensor to my 650mk11 but the sensor plug wont fit the onmisensor port on the control unit as its way to big ,can i hardwire this to the loom that the glass tamper and tilt sensors use ?any ideas Rudy and Skater Bum...thanks guys |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 28 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Margerite, You can't hardwire it to the other loom, 'cause the omni sensor needs to be adjusted by the alarm brain. And the wire loom for the glass tamper unit don't have that possibility ( I believe.....) I guess you have the G4 omni sensor which has a different connector from the G5 Omnisensor ( sensor is the same, just the connector is different) Try gettin a G5 omnisensor, with the green connector at the end..this will just plug right into the 650 unit, and then you'll be able to programm sensitivity.... |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 29 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Marguerite...maybe you CAN hardwire it, but only by using the dedicated port. The dedicated port on the G5 systems is the green 3 pin input connector right next to the white 4 pin connector( I believe that's the data port connector) . If you hold the 650 towards you, with the inputconnectors facing you, then the antenna input connector is on the outer right side.... next to that ( going left) is the four pin connector and then 2nd is the 3 pin green connector. The connections are : from left to right red, black, blue/white, white/blue being the data input cable. I believ on the G4 Omnisensor that would be orange. |
New member Username: MargueriteIreland Post Number: 10 Registered: Apr-09 | Thanks Rudy i think it really needs one so i'm going to try it ,will let you know how it goes... |
New member Username: RedhotlamaPost Number: 2 Registered: May-09 | Don't know if this would be overkill, but i am also looking at adding an extra shock sensor to my clifford 50.5x at the rear of the vehicle. Since the one with the 50.5x only seems to detect things at the front. Ideas? I am looking at adding Shock sensor 504D 2x Siren 513T Audio 506T Backup Battery 520T Tilt Sensor 507M And a Crime Guard AU94T motion sensor as that seems more recommends than the DEI proximity sensor |
New member Username: DamomPost Number: 1 Registered: Jun-09 | Hi Skater Bum Is there any chance you could email me a copy of the latest Cliffnet Installer Pro? damian@churchillexpress.co.uk Many thanks in advance. |
New member Username: MadmarkukPost Number: 1 Registered: Jul-09 | Hi Skater Bum I hope you can help, I have a Clifford G4 650 dual zone alarm installed on my Toyota MR2 Turbo Rev3 1995 car. It has worked fine for the past 3 years. The problem has happened since the battery ran flat on my car. After I charged the battery the chirp on lock and unlock has stoped working???. the siren still works and I have also got 4 chirps if I leave the door open. I read the user manual and even tried the user manual program guide thinking it may just have reset it self. following the instructions I entered my pin and followed fully till I had to program mode and held the star button on the dash till I am supposed to hear a chirp the the led light should come on. Well the led came on but no chirp, I continued the process and tried the lock/unlock button once , twice the 3 times only on the 3rd push of the lock/unlockon the did the siren chirp 3 times. I turned off egnition and the car chirped another 3 times but still does not chip on unlock / lock. Can you shed some light on this subject please. Sorry its so long but wanted you to know the full story. Contact email is mad-mark-uk@hotmail.co.uk Thanks |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 30 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Mark, I have encoutered that problem quite a few times now..... the siren needs to be changed... maybe skater bum has another solution, but that's what I had to do.... seems to be some fabrication fault in some units that will occur in situations like this |
New member Username: MadmarkukPost Number: 2 Registered: Jul-09 | Thanks Rudy Is this a job I can do myself or do I have to get the alarm fitter to do it for me, strange it still chirps with open door and alarm activation though??? Also where can I just buy the siren if i can do it myself and how much do they normally cost. Cheers |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 31 Registered: Jun-08 | Hey MArk, I don't know if you had the alarm installed by an official Clifford dealer? In any case I would go back or go see any authorized Clifford dealer first. They should exchange this unit under warranty, as Clifford claims to have lifetime warranty on their products. If you can't get them to do that than you should be able to exchange it yourself. |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 388 Registered: Mar-06 | Mark Richards, So, everything works fine with the alarm system except the arm and disarm chirps don't chirp, right? Am I understanding this correctly? |
New member Username: MadmarkukPost Number: 3 Registered: Jul-09 | That is correct Skater Bum The alarm is 3 years old now and the alarm shop who are official clifford dealer will not do anything unless i pay. Yes every think still works i a door is open after arming i get 4 chirps when alarm goes off normal siren and after alarm activation i get 4 chirps to warn me the alarm has been activated, just no chirps on arm and disarm, even if i go into manual program type my pin numbrer and follow steps to program all i get after pushing the star button on the valet switch it the clifford light come and stay on but no chirp??. Its a G5 650 dual zone and not a G4 as stated earlier. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 32 Registered: Jun-08 | hey Mark, It really is similar to the problems I have encountered, exactly the same... the installershop overhere however did exchange it under warranty... but not the labour, which is reasonable. The shop overthere should be familiar with this problem and in my opinion should exchange the siren under warranty. I am 100% sure that when you put another(new)siren on your system it works fine instantly.... |
New member Username: RossdagleyWelwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire UK Post Number: 5 Registered: Aug-08 | The battery in your alarm siren has died. Replacing it (the siren) is simple, and should be covered by your lifetime warranty (presuming your the owner of the clifford system from when it was installed into this vehicle). Expect to pay labour, but not for the replacement part. If it's really hassle, I'd do it myself (here in the UK, directed conveniently went bust a while back, so all alarm systems that HAD a lifetime warranty now dont ...) - I replaced mine about 3 months ago because of this exact problem. Alternatively, if you're a little confident with a screwdriver, just change the batteries in the sirenanother simple job. Obviously if your alarm IS still in warranty, replacing the siren or batteries yourself may invalidate that warranty. Wish you luck |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 389 Registered: Mar-06 | Mark Richards, It sounds to me like the chirps have been muted in programming. If the siren acts normally with everything else, I would check the programming. Your Owner's Manual should be able to walk you through how to program the chirps back on. If you don't have it, let me know. |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 33 Registered: Jun-08 | Hi Skater Bum, you would think that it would be the programming, but it's like Ross says.... I have encountered this problem numerous times with the G4 back up sirens. But I never occured to me that the problem may be caused after the car's battery went dead.... coming to think of it I think that all the faulty sirens I did get back, indeed the car's battery was dead and the owner had tried to start the car, and then started it using jumper cables... |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 34 Registered: Jun-08 | ... my guess is that somehow the back up siren's inner battery gets fried in this process... (though I haven't tried replacing the inner battery yet as Ross suggest, but it seems plausible). I think I still may have one faulty siren with that same problem laying around. I will check and see if replacing the battery does the trick. If that works than that could mean that you'll need to disconnect a back siren before jumpstarting a car.... |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 35 Registered: Jun-08 | ...on the other hand I have jumpstarted many Clifford installed cars without any problem.... so ... I'm still not sure what causes the actual problem.... but I do know that the problem exists and that it's not something reprogrammable. |

I did not think it came with a battery back up siren I belive that was an optional extra, if it is just the barrery in the siren can I change this myself and where in the UK can I buy one of these batterys???? If not where in the UK can I buy a new siren and how much do they cost. Thanks for all your help guys. Also while we r on this subject can I purchase a Dual zone shock sensor and fit it myself is it just a case of plug it in and go or would this require an installer. |

Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 36 Registered: Jun-08 | Ronan, what car is it installed in ? And how many times does the LED flash after you turned off the alarm and set the ignition to ON? You might want to try setting the interior light to the door position. Turning it off completely can produce an error in some installations |
Bronze Member Username: KreaturaPost Number: 37 Registered: Jun-08 | O and Ronan, question, do the lights also flash when it goes off? If they don't then it could also be a faulty siren.... I also encountered this problem in the past... but at this time I can't seem to remember exactly what caused it.... try to find out if the parkinglights also flash |

New member Username: Festa7479Rotherham, South Yorkshire United Kingdom Post Number: 1 Registered: Nov-09 | Now then Skater Bum..... Im having a slight issue with my Clifford Concept 650 G5 Mk1. I had an alarm installer try and fit the Intellistart to my R33 Skyline, but he couldnt get it to work so he removed it and put it back to how it was. But now the alarm chirps when you arm and disarm it, but if the alarm is triggered the indicators flash and the car immobilises but the siren does not sound! Any ideas what this could be please mate? Cheers, Gareth. |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 391 Registered: Mar-06 | Gareth Fletcher, That's a new one. It sounds like the siren is hooked up to something that kicks out when the system is triggered. Do you have a remote wireless immobilizer installed? If so, could the siren be hooked to it? |

Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 392 Registered: Mar-06 | Hello everyone! I haven't posted on here in a while because I have been replying to people directly. If you would like my help, please state whether you are in the UK or the US. It helps when looking up information. I have been asked for a PayPal address for those people who want to make a donation for the help that I have given them. If you would like to make a donation you can send it to: extremeconfusion2@skaterbum.com And, if you email me for help, try to keep it short and sweet. I often get emails where people tell me their life story and it ends up being like two pages long! I don't mind helping people out but it gets frustrating trying to weed through all of the garbage to find the question they are asking. Keep it simple. = ) Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays!! New member Username: CamandisdadPost Number: 1 Registered: Jul-10 | Quick question. My girlfriend has a 2004 toyota camry and she has a matrix 50.5x alarm/starter in it. her ex didnt give her a key fab for it. also looking at the wires there was a wire that was cut. it was a four wire pin that looked to be the antenna, but the antenna wire was hooked up, same type of flat black coating wire as the one that was cut that had a 90 degree angle connector. are these the same wire just cut shorter? looking at the pics ive seen, it only looks like one wire like that, which is the wire for the antenna. |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 396 Registered: Mar-06 | mticmac, It sounds like the antenna wire from what you've described. If you send me your email address I can send you the wiring diagram and you can verify which cable has been cut. |
New member Username: CamandisdadPost Number: 2 Registered: Jul-10 | Skater Bum sent an email to your aol account. |
New member Username: CamandisdadPost Number: 3 Registered: Jul-10 | Skater Bum Now is there any other remote that will work with the 50.5x? Also I took a couple of photos one of the wire that was cut and then one of the main box. which shows that the antenna wire is plugged in. I think that the people who installed it cut the wire and then just put a new end on the wire and just left the rest of it in the car?? |
New member Username: CamandisdadPost Number: 4 Registered: Jul-10 | Here is the other pic |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 397 Registered: Mar-06 | mticmac, Did you trace the plugged in antenna wire to see if it is, in fact, connected to the antenna? |
New member Username: CamandisdadPost Number: 5 Registered: Jul-10 | Yeah it is plugged in, Thats why it puzzled me, cause why zip tie the cut one in the car if it is not doing anything. |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 398 Registered: Mar-06 | mticmac, It was probably zip tied before they cut it. The antenna must of had a short in it and replaced it without ripping out the old one. |
New member Username: CamandisdadPost Number: 6 Registered: Jul-10 | Thats good. just wanted to make sure that it wasnt something that i needed. Also With the remotes can i use any other ones for the 50.5x? just trying to find a couple of them and dont really want to spend a whole lot. |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 399 Registered: Mar-06 | mticmac, try this link: http://www.directedstore.com/interface.asp?page=search&show=yes&do=System The remote control that works with your system is a 7701x. |

New member Username: BarbaPost Number: 2 Registered: Dec-10 | Hi guys, I have problems with connecting two additional sensors (Directed 507M Tilt Sensor, and Essentials Radar Field Disturbance Sensor 508D) to computer module of Clifford G5 Intelliguard 770. This module has following ports with appropriate labels: - RF - for connecting to antenna; - OmniSensor (3-pin) - for connecting to OmniSensor (part of the set); - Mux Sensor (4-pin) - for combined connection to 506T Audio Sensor and 504C Shock Sensor (Optional); - Proximity Sensor (3-pin) - for connecting to Clifford Dual Zone Proximity Sensor (Optional); - Clifford Wizard (3-pin) - for connecting to PC; - Smart Self-Powered Siren SSPS (2-pin) - self-explanatory For RF-port, OmniSensor-port, Cliffnet-port and SSPS-port I have no doubt. My problems referring to connecting of 507M Tilt Sensor, and 508D Radar Field Disturbance Sensor - to which port to connect them!? I do not have 504C Shock Sensor (Optional), and Clifford Dual Zone Proximity Sensor (Optional) as well. Furthermore 507M Sensor has a 3-pin plug for connecting, and 508D has 4-pin plug. As 508D Sensor is Dual Zone, and with 4-pin connecting plug, it can not be connected to 3-pin port for Proximity Sensor. And, as 507M Tilt sensor has a 3-pin connecting plug, it can not be plugged into 4-pin Mux Sensor port. Please refer to images: - 1st one - ports on computer module; - 2nd one - labels of same ports as shown on the 1st image; - 3rd one - 507M Tilt sensor; - 4th one - 508D Radar Field Disturbance Sensor (Dual Zone) My E-mail: rosdimov@gmail.com Any valuable advice how to connect these two additional sensors will be highly appreciated. Tks. |

H2/5 to the other end of Brown+White again as diagram shows going towards the rear of car to vacuum pump and H2/6 to + 12v i havent done this wire yet could i wire it straight to the constant 12v for the alarm ? And now im left with the following: H1/17 and H1/18 Can i leave these out ? as im not really fussed about my interior light coming on before i open the door when it comes on when i open the door anyway lol H1/4(+)Door trigger and H1/14(-)Door trigger havent figured these out yet got rather confused :-@ ?? i have also have left as i didnt think i needed: H1/2 Tach input i dont have remote start and wont be using blackjax so thaught id leave it ?? H1/6,H1/8,H1/9 are all Accessory wire's so havent used them ?? H1/11 Horn honk if its what i think it is i Dont want or need it ?? H1/12 Ground when armed i havent used/Grounded this as i thaught was for an accsessory iirc ?? H1/16 havent done this one yet either but first thing tmoz it's going to brown/white iirc at the boot light Thats it i hope fingers crossed ive also wired all my main immobilizer black wire's,Starter to Black/Red + Ignition to Black/Blue + Constant 12v for alarm to Red and Constant12v for indicators to the same Red to the block of wires behind the key at the steering colum is this ok ?? i have also soldered and taped all connections too im really Genuinly Sorry for the mahoooosive explanation but im at this current point a little nervous about reconnecting my positive terminal on my battery Hopefully it'le be ok but id rather have you guys see what you think first before i do re connect it , There will be a generous donation comming your way too ;-) Could i also get the Cliffnet Wizzard Install version too if possible pretty Please as i need to set my door lock pulses Email is frosty205@hotmail.com Any Help once again would be Much Much Appreciated Thank's very much, a tad confused Mr Frosty :-) |

New member Username: NcsuangPost Number: 1 Registered: Jun-11 | Hey skater bum, i'm hoping you can help. i've got a clifford matrix 2.5 alarm that came with the used car i bought. a long time ago i put the system into valet mode because i don't really need an alarm. long story short - the car sat for a while, battery died, alarm reset. i couldn't remember how to put it back into valet so i did a bunch of things with turning on and off the ignition switch and randomly pushing the valet button. now the light flashes about 5 times. the system gives about 3 chirps each time the engine is turned off but what's most annoying is it chirps really loud each time the engine is started. i'd like to figure out how to turn the entire system off. any help would be appreciated. also i have a replacement remote but it no longer recognizes the system. |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 411 Registered: Mar-06 | Ang, Do you just want to remove the system or disable it? |
New member Username: NcsuangPost Number: 2 Registered: Jun-11 | just disable it, preferably |
Silver Member Username: Skater_bumMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 412 Registered: Mar-06 | Ang, You should be able to go under the driver's side of the dash and unplug the unit. Depending on how it is installed, you may have to reconnect the starter wire at the steering column. |

Bronze Member Username: RossdagleyWelwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire UK Post Number: 12 Registered: Aug-08 | Hey James. For the 470 you dont need the pro version (although I'm sure SB will send it to you!) to adjust the prox sensor. Have a look here: http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=127369 Quote: Each zone has 32 settings that are indicated by chirps that raise and lower in frequency as adjustments are made. Total adjustment time for this sensor should be five minutes or less. Note: You MUST exit using the ARM/DISARM button after programming to lock in the new settings! Read the following instructions thoroughly for a full understanding of how to properly adjust this sensor: 1. Disarm system 2. Transmit Channel 16. (Press cliff 3 times then * 1 time) . The LED will turn on and the siren will chirp 1 time. . Primary (full trigger) zone adjustment has now been entered. . Primary zone can now be adjusted. 3. Adjusting Primary Zone . If you have the software and cable, you should be able to plug in and it will tell you what system and components you have. You may run into a problem being in the UK because when you plug in it may ask you for the PIN of the system. The default is 2. If that doesn't work try asking the guy you got it from to see if he changed the default PIN or not. |
New member Username: VictorpiresPost Number: 1 Registered: Dec-11 | Hello, I have a 1996 Canadian VW Jetta and a UK Clifford Concept 650 mkII with intellistart 4, proxy, window and tilt sensors. All has been fitted and functioning, intellistart apule start and turn off the car (manual trans), until recently. I cant get it to enter the autostart mode anymore. I do the procedure as before, but now if i press the "*" button it gives me 6 flashes, if i try "g5" twice then "**", it wont do nothing (although i do hear the module click a few times) Hood trigger seems to be working fine.... Etc. What could it be? Anyone have the cliffnet pro installer version that can send me? victorpires99@hotmail.com |

New member Username: DumptyboyPost Number: 1 Registered: Aug-12 | Can anyone help me out with my Clifford 950 intelliguard wiring? Ive figured out what all of the coloured cables are for, but its the 8 black cables im struggling with. The alarm was removed without these 8 cables being labeled, so obviously with them all being the same colour its impossible to work out what they are for? When ive opened the module they are numbered 1-8, but which cable does what? I would like to refit it tomorrow morning so any help is appreciated. Cheers. Rob. |
