Post Number: 15999 Registered: Jul-05 | thats a piece of cake to build i have mine in a 1.5cuft sealed which sounds great but d thing is i think i recently F it up - i got a box job to do for a guy for same model idmax so i built d box & we tried testing it with my sub in his older model toyota sedan & d trunk conditions really killed d sound alot so i think i may used too much gain on my amp to get some output from d sub & d coil may have shifted slightly since it has such a tight gap & it now rubs at higher volumes ...gotta get it checked out asap , might be d 1st sub i ever facked up ....  |

Post Number: 16002 Registered: Jul-05 | no u see when i had it in d sealed box which is obviously less efficient than a ported box i had d gain up a little probably 1\4 on my pdx 1000 (i gotta try that setting it with a dmm thing 1 day) since i usually set it by ear.... so when i tried it in that ported box in d guy's car i shud have backed d gain down a little & i probably used too much vol level on it ...moment of carelessness i remember yrs ago older experienced guys on here like jonathan saying these subs r very efficient since they have a high sensitivity so 700-800 is fine on it so thats y i got a 1000wrms amp , they can take more than d 1000wrs since when i got it i still had my orion 2500d & gave it a est 1200wrms+ or so but imho to be safe a 1000wrms amp on it is fine how ever u can get ALOT of output from it & some killer lows with about 3cuft ported around 30hz with 1 4" aeroport ..but i bet it covers ur front stage ...i highly rec sealed for daily\sq use ... |

Last year in only 3 months or so and 3 tents I pulled in over $3000. Didn't start until July either. I have about a month and a half before I let it rip and looking forward to a good 6 months this year. Should keep my busy. |

Post Number: 16085 Registered: Jul-05 | ^hey u dont know how to build a pc ? - i see u mentioned it in d GW thread my older bro used to handle all my pc screw ups , upgrades & such but he was often busy with work & i had to wait sometime days til he had time ...so i had to see if i cud help myself & eventually i did figure out stuff soon after i began to upgrade & replace parts in my desktops & figured out how to build my own & load up its software without googleing anything u can build a pc in about 10mins but going through loading it up with d various software & drivers , formatting , entering keys & setting it all up etc is a boring task which takes some time maybe a couple of hrs but its pretty easy ..never had cause to mess with my laptop which is going on 2yrs old , may upgrade to a bigger h\drive maybe later on this yr or might simple buy a external terabit drive to store all my tv shows , movies & music u shud try it 1 day if u have a desktop & a laptop standby in case u mess things up u can use d laptop in d meantime or to google up info ... |

As an option you can get say 2 gigs of ram over 1 in a new PC for $50 extra. That extra gig of ram can be bought online for $25. All you need to do it plug it in and reboot. Same for HDs and optical drives. Bottom line it's just a box made up with swappable parts. |

It's a basic one tho, but i like the filters. @ Paul: I'm the same, 3 yrs and its time for a new one. I now have a collection of external hdd because im paranoid abt my data disappearing. I bought a 2tb one confident it would last me for years. It's not been 2 months, it's already more than half full :| I have so many copies of my pictures from my digital camera. I don't know if thats a downside, but because u dont print immediately, there's always the risk of data corrupting. And then I'll be ruined! All my pretty vacation peektureessss |
