I have a crappy subwoofer from dell (i believe altec lansing)...i have it on a carpet and for some reason, even if the speakers are tuned to the lowest possible # - 1/10), my neighbor freaks and complains that my bass is too loud...if i feel the sub, i don't feel any vibrations...i would have thought a carpet would muffle it...am i wrong or is she nuts?
She's nuts. If you don't feel any vibration there is no reason why your neighbor should. How thick is your carpet, maybe it would help if you purchase or cut out a piece of foam to put underneith your sub.
